Program
October 24 Depart Cancun, Mexico or Toronto, Canada. Protocol reception
at the airport. Group is escorted in vintage automobiles to the legendary,
five star Hotel Nacional. Check in at hotel followed by a welcome cocktail
and cigar reception.
October 25 Breakfast. " Underground " City of Havana tour.
Lobster lunch at Hemingway's favourite La Floridita Restaurante. Visit
to Havana's unique auto museum, private tour of the vintage Partagas
cigar factory and enjoy a cigar and cocktail in the private Partagas
Salon. Dinner at Havana's most popular Restaurante El Aljibe.
October 26 Breakfast. Den rt for Varadero Beach Resort via classic car
rally. Day's activities optional. Check into the beautiful, five star
Hotel Sol Melia Las Americas. Dinner at the hotel.
October 27 Breakfast. Day's activities to include: Marlin fishing golf
at the classic Dupont Golf Estate, beach activities, snorkeling, etc.
Depart late afternoon for Havana. Check into the the Hotel Nacional.
Dinner in the private Tropicana Salon followed by the world's most famous
night club show, the Tropicana Review!
October 28 Breakfast. Tour of Havana's most elegant pre-revolutionary
homes, bars, casinos, museums and hotels. Visit La Finca Vigia (Hemingway's
home and museum Lunch in Cojimar Harbor with 102 year-old Gregorio Fuentes
( Hemingway's boat captain and the original " Old Man and the Sea
" ). Please remember to bring along a book for Grecorio to sign!
Dinner the elegant Grand Dining Room of the Hotel Nacional.
October 29 Breakfast. Classic car rally to the historic Rancho Azzucarero
featured in James Michener's book Six Days in Havana Once in a
lifetime authentic Cuban lunch set amidst the ruins of the 18'h Century
coffee plantation, Anna Harona,' Cuba's oldest ruins ). Horse back riding
is an option and a very exciting experience in this private ranch. Great
photo opportunity for all', Farewell dinner in the garden of the Restaurante
La Cecilia.
October 30 Open schedule. Individual tours available.
October 31 Depart for Cancun/Toronto. End of services.
